Text Box: with conviction set melded in with bunnington’s tempo and created the murky background that made way for Aleks’ crazy riffs and James’ raw ripping vocals.

The two bands really seemed to compliment each other’s style, from light to dark but with the same energy levels.  Just listening to the songs of both bands will never do the live performance justice.  This has to be one of the most positive house shows ever.  Many times you make acquaintances, and few times you make good friends, this was one of those few times.

Without a clue as what to expect, two bands from the Toronto area showed up at Casa de Mario on June 17th to rock out.  With the sofa pushed against the wall, the long open space of the living room made way for a crowd of more than a dozen people.

Eagerly, the crowd awaited the first strum from guitarist James McBride and Jamie Bryan of with Conviction and when they did, it was nothing but pure energy.  The band states on their website that they are a 100% positive band and that’s exactly what they gave out that evening.  Michael Kopko’s vocals were intense and Sean’s punk rock roots Text Box: makes this band as a dominant figure of all that represents punk, metal and hardcore.  The Charismatic force this band gave out was nothing less than dominating.

The tone grew somewhat darker with the following band, Titan.  Everything suddenly dropped but the intensity somehow persisted, the dark undertones and shady riffs created a stream of gloomy energy with an undercurrent of edgy fast paced riffs that cut throughout the set.  The mixed percussion of Chris Bunnington, from dragged out riffs to blast beats really lead this quartet into harmonious chaos. After receiving a last minute request, Marpi productions took a glimpse at the bands that were coming through the region the July 2nd, These Silhouettes and Crush Luther. 

After listening to the songs, the agreement to put on a house Text Box: show was quickly confirmed, these rock bands have both been getting a lot of media attention and coverage and for good reasons.  These silhouettes’ amazing vocals and soothing melodies carries tragedy and melancholy while Crush Luther’s lighter sound breathes more hope.
Text Box: The show is in the Boudreau Log house, since the weather calls for prudence.   There is a 2$ cover charge and it should be good fun, everyone is invited.  For those who do not know where the log house is, the address is 647 chemin 3 miles.
